As one of Martinborough’s most respected estates, after 27 years Margrain is still family owned and managed which inspires the team to work meticulously to craft wines with verve, balance and finesse, from some of the regions oldest vineyards.

​Martinborough is one of the best  boutique winemaking regions of New Zealand and to highlight the quality of our two unique vineyard sites we handcraft a range of heady, aromatic whites and beautifully textured Pinot Noirs.
 
Daryl and Graham Margrain planted the first vines in what is now our Home Block in 1992 and with winemaker Strat Canning at the helm,  have been quietly making beautiful stunning  good wine ever since .
